London & Westcountry Estates Ltd, the Plymouth based commercial landlord which now owns some 20 Business Parks across the region is delighted with the sustained growth and demand for business units in Plymouth and still enquiries rise at an unprecendented level.
Over the last year it has undertaken vast developments at three of its most recently purchased sites in Estover.
Phoenix Mill, Drake Mill and Cannon Mill have all provided facilities to meet the strong demand for trade counter, warehouse and distribution occupiers.
Although matters are not so easy at Drake Mill as the building was designed and built for a speicific purpose for a single occuiper, London & Westcountry Estates aim is to undergo the re-branding exercise to London & Westcountry Estates colours and already has its new name.
Over the course of the last year the firm has gained a great many new tenants of which nearly half are new businesses. Christian Mill Business Park at Crownhill, Plymouth has seen the most activity over the last few months with a variety of new tenants including Imara Leisure, Plymouths new affordable gym stretching over 3,750 sq.ft on ground floor level.
London & Westcountry Estates also welcomes Albion Sundries and Starlights Dance School to the Business Park.
The landlord says its flexiable leases and hands on management of its business park gives confidence to these in the early days of business.
Matthew Hockin, group finance director at London & Westcountry Estates said: 'We have plenty of space to satisfy demand that still exists in the market place, although this will not prohibit us from lokking at other new projects in the forthcoming year, or broadening our business further.
