London & Westcountry now own and manage 28 Business Parks, 12 of which are in the greater Plymouth area. Brent Mill Business Park and Anna Mill Buisness Park are located near Ivybridge and Tregoniggie Industrial Estate which is in Falmouth. Further afield, London & Westcountry also own Taw Mill Business Park based in Barnstaple and have newly acquired 11 parks in Bridgwater.

CURRENT BUSINESS PARKS & TENANTS

Currently, London & Westcountry have over 300 tenants and owns over one million sq ft producing a total rent roll of around £5 million. Amongst the Plymouth portfolio is Sugar Mill Retail Park, which was the first acquisition by London & Westcountry Estates Ltd. Faraday Mill Business Park is the largest within the Company portfolio and both are extremely well known within the City and have proven to be very popular with both consumers and tenants. Christian Mill Business Park lies within the Crownhill district of the City and was originally a Clark’s shoe factory. Acquired by the Company some 5 years ago, it is now well on the way to emulating the success of other Business Parks owned by the Company, being now almost fully let.

CORE BUSINESS

London & Westcountry Estates’ core business is the acquisition of large redundant commercial buildings and breaking them up to provide a range of warehouse, industrial, trade counter, retail and office premises. With the proactive and flexible management style of London & Westcountry Estates, it has never been difficult to find suitable tenants.

RESTRUCTURING

The Company’s growth increased 7 years ago when Matthew and James Hockin joined the Company. Matthew is the Group Financial Director and James is the Group Operations Director. A Chartered Surveyor with vast commercial experience is also a member of the senior management team assisting with the day-to-day operations of the business parks including lettings, rent reviews, lease renewals and acquisitions.
